Hey Everyone!

For January, I am starting a club at school called the Helping Hand Club. We will be doing monthly projects to help the community. So my January project was to get my club going. I talked to my homeroom teacher and she agreed to sponsor my club. I also handed out little note cards that said everything to know about the first meeting. I handed them out to all the 6th grade girls at my school. Hope it turns out great!

Today is the one year anniversary of Molly’s first post on her website.  It has been a great year!  When she started, she wanted to find a way to “inspire others.”  From sending items to kids in Afghanistan to sharing Christmas with others in Southern Illinois, she has worked hard to complete her goals.

Some projects didn’t turn out exactly like she had planned.  She feels that she didn’t do much in December.  She is wrong on that one.  She inspired her family members to get off the couch and help others.  Because of her idea to exchange names, there is more food at the food bank and children have books that they didn’t have before.  Someone even made a loan to help a woman run her business in Peru.  Each of us has been inspired.

January is technically Molly’s last monthly project.  She has been working on a big one that she will unveil soon.  Look for changes in 2010.
