Just a quick note to tell the results of September’s shoe box collection.
We dropped off 13 boxes. It was raining & we both had our hands really full. We took the boxes to Shoe Carnival because they have a collection box for the boxes. The lady at the check out had a crazy look on her face when we walked in. She thought we were returning all of the shoes!
I was upset that we didn’t make the goal of 15 but then we each got a new pair of shoes. When we got home, we realized that we have 6 more empty boxes to turn in. We are going to drop them off…hopefully on a sunny day.
What a great month…by the end of the month, it will be Halloween.
Unfortunately, I still do not have a project this month. Mom & I have one in mind, but do not know the details yet. We may have to come up with something else but I’ll keep you posted.
I do have some great news!! Mom got her hair cut & is sending it to Locks of Love…just like me! She looks so good. I’ve never seen her hair so short. If you want to learn more about this charity, please check out their website at www.locksoflove.org. We have each donated 3 times & it feels really great.
I cannot believe that it is the middle of September and I haven’t posted my monthly project yet. Forgive me!!
This month I am collecting shoe boxes for the local animal shelter. They can use them for animals that are smaller. I am picturing gerbils and kittens…stuff like that. My goal is to get 15 this month. I have started to ask family members if I can have theirs. I hope that I make it.
Collecting shoe boxes is something that doesn’t cost a lot of money but can really help. I am going to try to get our old towels to take when I go. I’ll have to ask Mom first.
August was awesome! We had all kinds of things that we reused, or recycled! I hope that I inspired a lot of people, and gave you lots of ideas on how to help the Earth.

The Ice-cream social went great!!!!
First, we made over $500 dollars!!!! Then, some of the leftover food was kept at the church. People who come in during the week that need a meal can eat the leftover food! The rest went to a local shelter. So we used everything possible to help the community.
Thank you to everyone who helped, donated or bought!! It WAS appreciated.
I am so sorry that I havn’t posted in FOREVER! I should have been posting, but I’ve been a little busy with homework!

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been pretty busy lately.
My August project is called the clean house project. We are cleaning, and anything that we can reuse, recycle, or give to someone, we are. You don’t realize how much stuff you throw away that you can use. Here’s some idea’s.
Gift Cards- 1. You can put more money on it, and give it as a gift! 2. Find a place that will recycle them. There are a few of those places! 3. If sometimes you play games, or act like you have a restaurant or a store, use them as credit cards!
Reuse your blankets or towels! Take them to a local shelter. People AND animals can use blankets.
If you have old towels that are to old to use, you could use them as rags.
If you have saved the cardboard rolls from toilet paper or paper towels, you can make bird feeders out of them.
Reuse old greeting cards. Cut the top half off, (with the picture on it), and write the letter on that side.
Bottle caps - (cap of glass bottle) I would like to make a belt with them. I have never done it but I am saving up my bottle caps now. I will just use my black belt, and then glue them on to it. I hope it works! (cap of plastic bottles) You can use them as checker pieces if you have lost some of your old ones.
These are just a few ways. Be creative! Send me your ways to reuse or recycle stuff by the end of the month and I will post them on my website!!
Hey!!!!!
The ice-cream social is going fine. Even though I haven’t seen it, I hear the donation and working list are pretty full! That’s pretty much all I need to update on!

Hey everyone!
As you know, my July project was an ice cream social to raise money for the building fund at church. I’m so excited that my dad is helping me this month. We are finally going to make it happen.
I haven’t posted in a long time so here’s what’s happened. The building fund committee & I had a meeting. I was really nervous when they asked to talk to me! They wanted to know my ideas. We discussed what we would serve and how the whole thing would work. They thought it was a good idea!
After the meeting, we bought 10 gallons of ice cream that we found on sale. I’ve made a flyer stating all the information about the ice cream social. Mom helped make the flyer. We added some great pictures. I’ve emailed it to my dad so he can print it and hang them up. I hope lots of people come!!
I don’t want to use my website to advertise for the event because I try not to add too much personal info. It’s not that I don’t want you ALL to come but I have to be safe so I’ll leave the advertising to dad.
Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t posted in a while! I created this website to inspire others. And it’s worked!!!!!
This month my dad and stepmom are helping me with this project. Every month I have been helping other charities. And although a church isn’t a charity, they are important too.
So this month, I am doing a project to help a church. They are planning on building a new church soon. So, to help them out, we are doing an ice-cream sundae bar fundraiser. We will have ice-cream, and toppings. Toppings like butter finger, oreos, m+m’s, and syrup to make it taste really good!
