Hello!
The valentine making went great! I had the honor of going to the Ronald McDonald House and delivering the cards. It is a very beautiful place. I didn’t hand them out individually. I gave them to a couple of very nice ladies who are going to tape the cards to everyone’s door. There were 60 cards for the patients, families, and volunteers.
Thank you all so much for helping!! The kids at my school and in my girl scout troop helped to make this project a success! The Helping Hand club is off to a great start.
For February I am doing something like last year’s February project.
My club and I will be making Valentines for the Ronald McDonald house. For every Valentine each girl makes, they get their name entered for a basket full of prizes.
Our first club meeting was Monday. The number of people that came was……!!!!
7!!!!
Although that may seem like a small number, that is actually a very good one! I hope girls continue to come to the next meeting on Friday. I guess we will see!
Also, I would like to do a SUPERCARD party. While watching the Superbowl me and my Girl Scout buddies could make cards. I don’t know if Mom is okay with this but I sure hope so! I guess I’ll have to ask her first.
It’s Molly again.
Making those valentines was hard work! It was late one night when I realized that I didn’t have much time. I thought that I was only going to get 60 of them done because I was out of time. I was determined to finish all 115! I woke up at 6 every morning. I made sure that I did my homework at school. And…
I finally got them done!
Here are some pictures of the valentines that I made.

Hand made cards

I can't believe that 60 of them fit in a folder

Finished!
Molly here. I just wanted to say that I finished the valentines! Sorry that I haven’t been posting alot lately. I’ve been so busy trying to get them done at the last minute! I completed 115 valentines. I gave 60 valentines to the veterans at the VA hospital. And I gave about 55 valentines to a local nursing home.
Molly has been working extremely hard to finish her Valentine’s Day cards. When she realized that her Dad was coming last night, she knew that she was losing valuable time right before she had to finish them so she has been getting up before 6 a.m. every morning and creating them until she goes to school. We have glitter, construction paper, and yarn everywhere! She will be adding a new post to the blog soon.
As you know, Valentine’s Day is in February. My monthly project is about Veterans. I am going to make Valentine’s Day cards for all of the patients in the VA hospital. There are 60 beds for veterans in the nursing home and 55 inpatient beds. That’s 115 Valentines! I better keep working.
