1,640 - think about this number.
Sadly, this is not just a number. It represents the kids that Pat’s Kids helped last year. One thousand, six hundred and forty kids in southern Illinois that were sexually and/or physically abused. It breaks my heart! This could be one of my former classmates, a kid on the basketball team, or someone from church. If I weren’t so blessed, it could have been me. These kids didn’t do anything wrong! They were given a rough path in life.
Do you remember how great it felt to see Christmas presents under the tree? Pat’s Kids brings this joy to kids who don’t have as much happiness as we do. Jo Poshard, Pat Benton, all of the volunteers and everyone that donates…these people are angels!
After gathering donations all year, Mom & I were able to take our contribution to the radio station this morning. I really have to thank my family & friends for helping me with all of my projects. I love to hear the broadcast when Pat Benton & 95.1 fm lets everyone bring in their money. We listened to the show on the way home. It is so wonderful!
There is still time to help. If you want to mail in a donation - Pat’s Kids at 1431 Country Aire Dr. Carterville, IL 62918. I know times are tough this year and it may not be possible to dig any deeper. Please keep these kids in your prayers and think about donating whenever possible.
Merry Christmas!!
